El Vez
Monday, Dec. 20; The Paramount (Santa Fe, 21 and over, 8:30 p.m.): Merry Mex-Mas everyone! El Vez, the famed Mexican Elvis, returns to New Mexico for a decking of the halls the likes of which you've never seen. El Vez doesn't give concerts, he performs one-man pageants that make the Rose Bowl Parade seem like little more than a rural high school band marching down dusty Main Street, USA. He's the man, myth and the legend. The Way, the truth and the lighthearted Latin answer to a big, fat, dead, White Trash icon.

Joining "El Rey" for this very special holiday celebration will be his long-standing ladies-in-waiting, the Elvettes, along with the world-class Memphis Mariachis backing him on such Kingly classics as "Dónde Está Santa Claus," "(I'm Dreaming of a) Brown Christmas," "Santa Claus, Go Straight to the Barrio" and plenty of other Latino-flavored takes on Elvis Presley classics.

And now for the bonus round: This El Vez tour offers audiences a unique, once-in-a-lifetime opportunity ... to have your photo taken with El Santa (El Vez himself, all done up as the Great Bearded One). Take a friend or loved one as their Christmas present and give them something they'll never forget.
